Board member profiles
The Board of Governors is appointed by the Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families using the process set down by the Office of the Commissioner for Public Appointments (OCPA). Collectively, the Board represents the viewer’s voice. The Board members' range of skills, experience and knowledge span education, broadcasting, new media and regulation to ensure the Board fulfils its aims and objectives effectively. All Board positions are non-executive posts. Members are currently appointed for two years from September 2008. The Chair receives an honorarium of £40,000 per annum. The Governors receive an honorarium of £10,000 per annum.
